Some Scientific Information On Fat Cells

The fact is that the fat cells removed by liposuction are removed permanently. As in all types of cosmetic surgery, the results can not be undone. The time to think about not having the surgery done is before you get it done. Plastic surgery is permanent and so is liposuction. However, if you are getting lipo because you think that the removal of the fat cells will allow you to eat all of the food that you want without gaining weight, you will be in for a big disappointment.

Liposuction is not a weight reduction surgery, and it is not meant to act as an immediate colon flushing operation where eating at will without restraint will merely send the food from your stomach to your colon without any fat accumulation in your previous trouble spots since you had liposuction. The fat cells that liposuction takes out can never come back, but new cells can form.

Even a small gain in weight will enlarge the remaining fat cells since they will be picking up all the fat that is coming into the body from excess consumption of calories. If the liposuction patient gains 10% body weight, new fat cells will grow in all areas of the body including those parts treated with liposuction. When adult humans gain a lot of weight, fat cells called lipocytes are created from already living pleuripotential connective tissue cells in a development called differentiation.
Living connective tissue cells mutate into immature fat cells called lipoblasts. These lipoblasts grow into mature fat cells as the individual gets fatter.
